Establishing Boundaries on Social Media with Natasha Samuel

Today I have the pleasure of talking to Natasha Samuel of Sol Studio. I’ve followed Natasha for a while and I just love her beautiful, bright and sunny feed!

Natasha is host of The Shine Online Podcast and the founder of Sol Studio, an Instagram creative studio that specializes in storytelling and strategy. She offers small businesses and creative entrepreneurs Instagram content creation, strategy sessions, and educational resources. She helps clients shine on social media through effective strategies and intentional execution.

Natasha talks about being authentic and strategic to create real connections online.

We also talk about protecting your time and energy when engaging on social media. Natasha shares a few tips and tools she uses such as:

  • Muting people on Instagram

  • Using Downtime on smartphones to limit time spent on apps

  • Using schedulers such as Later

  • Showing up in ways other than video

We also talk about self care and Natasha shares how she focuses on adding pockets of down time throughout her day. She says she realized that she can’t be creative and serve her audience well if she’s not resting and recharging.

Natasha also says it is ok to say “no, not right now” or “no, it’s just not a good fit for my purpose.” Saying ‘no’ always opens another door for something better!

I hope you have been inspired by Natasha and can benefit from her social media tips and business perspective. Let me know what changes you plan to make to how you show up online!
