Getting Your Next Paying Client

You may not know the next step you should take to find a paying client. Or maybe you’re taking action and doing a lot of things, but what you’re doing just isn’t landing clients.

I’ve been there. So today I want to break things down for you and share how I got my first few clients. These are things that really helped my business and I’d absolutely recommend these steps to anyone today.

  • Do some work for free

    • You can be strategic and picky!

    • Set realistic, clear expectations

  • Network

    • Build relationships, don’t try to sell

    • Connect with others within your industry, not just ideal clients

    • Make sure your social media pages tell people what you do

  • Be more visible and tell the world about your offers

    • Tell people how they can work with you

    • Use video, go live

  • Be able to pitch yourself and your services

    • Clearly explain what you do, as if talking to a 5 year old

    • Ask for feedback when someone doesn’t hire you

  • Make sure you walk the walk

    • If you claim to be an expert, show up that way

    • Ask others how they perceive you

Once you do all of these things, you’ll see that everything starts to align and you will start getting those paying clients!
