Keeping Up Your Momentum When Business is Slow
119: Keeping Up Your Momentum When Business is Slow
I’ve found that a lot of business owners are going through a slow season right now.
I want to help normalize slow seasons and help you stay motivated and keep your momentum up, even when things are slow.
In this episode, I share...
Why you should stay disciplined when things are slow
How to evaluate what you really need
Tasks that are perfect for slow seasons
My advice for a slow season is:
Take guilt free time off
This can be scheduled so you can fully rest, recharge, and get re-inspired.
Remember that you’re in this for the long haul
Business isn’t linear and your journey is full of ups and downs.
Look at your numbers and map out what you need and what you want
Numbers will tell you the story of your business and allow you to set some new goals.
Set some non business goals for your life
This will allow you to have more fun and enjoy your life more.
See what isn’t necessary
Do an audit to see what you no longer need to spend time and money on.
Get organized
File your papers and schedule appointments to set yourself up for success.
Get creative with your marketing
Take some time to play and come up with a new marketing strategy.
Update your website and create some content
Catch up on this work that is difficult to do when you’re busy with client work.
Check in with old clients
Reconnect with people to maintain good relationships.
Network and talk to other business owners
Things are so much better when you feel less alone in a slow season.
Remember, this is just a season. Things will work themselves out, we just have to trust the process.
