How to Incorporate Small Acts of Self-Care into Every Day
106: How to Incorporate Small Acts of Self-Care into Every Day
We tend to think of self-care as extravagant events that are time consuming or expensive. And those things are nice, but there is more to self-care than that!
So today I’m talking about little ways we can take care of ourselves each day.
In this episode, I share...
Easy tips you can implement to make your life easier
Things you can do that make you feel better
Ways to build momentum for yourself to get things done
The specific advice I have is:
Wake up earlier
Just waking up 15 to 20 minutes earlier can prevent that morning rush.
Go to bed earlier
Make sure you get the rest you need.
Before you log off, plan the next day
Set yourself up to get ahead for tomorrow.
Don’t check your email first thing in the morning
Instead of checking your email right away, knock out one or two tiny things to build momentum for yourself.
Chug a glass of water BEFORE your coffee
Get a new water bottle that you like to make drinking water more enjoyable.
Write down 3 things you’re thankful for
Shift yourself to a place of abundance and gratitude, even with small things.
Move your body
This can make such a difference in productivity and mental health, so do something to incorporate movement every day.
Eat healthy snacks
Do not eat at your desk, and have healthy snacks that are high in protein prepped and ready to go.
Get fresh air as much as you can
Take calls outside or open up your windows while you work.
Have some scents around that you like and focus music playing
Create a space for yourself that you enjoy being in.
Leave your phone in another room
You shouldn’t be on your phone all day everyday so remove the temptation.
At a baseline, you are allowed to incorporate joy and self-care into every day. Take care of yourself and find little ways to make yourself happy.
