Reflections On The Past Year

111: Reflections On The Past Year

This week marks my birthday and I wanted to take some time to reflect back on this past year. I get emotional in this episode, so prepare yourself for a few tears!

In this episode, I share...

  • A recent life update

  • The lessons I’ve learned this past year

  • How I’m experiencing different feelings at the same time

The reflections I’ve had and lessons I’ve learned over this past year are:

  • Don’t take the small things for granted

You never know when things will change so enjoy what you have when you have it.

  • When things are good, sit with that

When you have moments when everything is going well, appreciate that because it will sustain you in bad times.

  • Be present

Don’t constantly anticipate what is next, enjoy what is now.

  • Learn to be happy by yourself

I am rediscovering self love and allowing myself to do things just for me.

  • Take help when it is offered to you

People want to help you and support you, let them.

  • Learn to be happy by yourself

I am rediscovering self love and allowing myself to do things just for me.

  • Say ‘yes’ when you want to say ‘yes’

Take opportunities that come up, work will always be there when you get back.

  • What's meant for you won't miss you

I truly believe we are redirected when we need to be in life.

  • Health is more important than anything

Take care of yourself, always.

  • Self care looks different for everyone

Find what works for you and do that.

  • Happiness is something you create

If you can't find happiness now, you never will be able to.

  • Different feelings can live together

You can be happy and sad at the same time, honor both of those feelings.

I hope you enjoy this episode and find some wisdom from these reflections that can help you in your life. Whatever situation you’re in, try to focus on the good every day.
