I’m talking with the sweetest human, someone I met through the online space, Maliquea Starnes.

Maliquea is an intentional business strategist, certified life & success coach, retired wedding planner, and podcast host, who brings order to creative chaos for service-based entrepreneurs who want to run more intentional and streamlined businesses.

I love hearing about Maliquea’s journey and difficult decisions that led her where she is today. She talks about losing herself in her previous business and how she made the shift to find more balance in her life today.

Her advice to others is to separate yourself from your business and realize that the business doesn’t have anything to do with who you are as a human being.

Then once you realize who you are separate from your business, weave that into the way you work for a more intentional, aligned business.

We also discuss overwhelm and Maliquea advises anyone feeling overwhelmed to make a list of everything you have to do. Then look at each item and note if it is an external pressure or an internal pressure. Then assess whether each classification is a fact or if you are making it up.

Once you have done that, it is easier to determine what is the most important and what you have created a narrative around that may not be true.

The next piece of advice she has is to map out your client journey. Notice what you can eliminate, automate, or delegate from this process. This way systems and supportive intentional processes start to jump off the page at you for you to put into place.

I can’t get enough of Maliquea’s advice and positivity! I hope this conversation helps you to create a more intentional and sustainable business that you love.
