How I Approach Goal-Setting

99: How I Approach Goal-Setting

I want to talk about how I have been approaching goal planning. At the start of a year there is always a lot of talk about resolutions or visualizing the year ahead.

This year, I really want to be more intentional in every area when it comes to planning. I am focused on my plans, and how to actually make them happen.

In this episode, I share...

  • The specific goal planner I use

  • How to assess your current situation

  • Ways to break down big picture goals into daily habits

I’ve been using the Cultivate What Matters 2022 One Year PowerSheets Goal Planner.

With this planner, you evaluate different areas of your life to see where you are currently.

Then you make a list of things you are grateful for or good things that happened during the last year. Also note what challenges you had and where you currently feel stuck.

This leads you into listing your big picture goals and the “why” behind them.

Once you have your big picture goals, you break them down into daily habits. This is the action you take in your day-to-day life that leads you to achieve your big picture goals.

I adopted this process to work for me but I love the way this goal planner is set up and how helpful it is.

I’m so excited for 2022 to be a year where I achieve my goals!
